P18 350Jointly developed by medical experts, population health researchers, exercise specialists and leading international Tai Chi and Qigong experts, the Tai Chi and Qigong heath programs are based on compelling research evidence and guided by exercise prescription principles and safety guidelines. The programs are designed for primary prevention and rehabilitation of chronic conditions, reducing the risk of and preventing falls; improving mental health and cognition, functional abilities and quality of life. 

The courses were accredited by Australian Physiotherapy Association and Fitness Australia as national training courses for continuing education and professional development for health and exercise professionals. The courses are also open to physical activity leaders, community health workers, Tai Chi and Qigong instructors,carers, volunteers and the general public. The courses include the following programs and course applicants can choose any ONE of the programs for a 2-day training course:

The courses involve step-by-step teaching and practice of the programs which contain both standing and chair-based modules designed for clients or patients with all levels of blance and mobility.
