Day 1-2  Fly from Sydney to Shanghai and experience the glamour of the futuristic global city 

Shanghai is well and truly a futuristic global city where the East meets the West and the ancient meets the modern. Experience the cutting-edge technology, the-state-of-art infrastructure, ultra modern skyscrapers, luxury stores and dazzling shops and the centuries-old Chenghuang Temple, the highlight of our Shanghai leg along with the Bund, a mile-long stretch of waterfront promenade along the Huangpu River. The European-style architecture along the Bund is a living museum of Shanghai's colonial history of the 1800s. 

Day 3-4   Explore the Forbidden City and the Great Wall in Beijing

Explore the iconic landmarks that defy your imagination: the Great Wall stretching more than 4,000 miles from the Pacific Ocean to the desert in Central Asia; the Forbidden City, the largest and most intact palace kept in the world today, the palace for 24 emperors spanning over five centuries. Take a leisurely stroll in the Tian'anmen Square, the largest public square in the world; and Hutong, the old narrow alleys - traditional courtyard residences first established in Yuan Dynasty between 1206 - 1341. Enjoy an informative tour of China's National History Museum and relax at Jin Hill Park to have a bird's-eye view of the Forbbiden City before leaving for Xian. 

Day 5-7   Discover the Terracotta Warriors and much more in ancient capital city - Xian

If Shanghai symbolizes China's future, Xian represents its past. It was the ancient capital for eleven dynasties with more than 2000 years of history. It was also the starting point of the Silk Road. Among the highlights of our tour of the historical city are the Terracotta Warriers, the life-size terracotta army guarding the afterlife of Qin Shi Huang, China's first emperor dating back to 259 BC - the most significant archaeological excavations of the 20th century; the Tang Dynasty Palace Garden restored to its past glory; the spectacular Tang Dynasty dancing show; and Shaanxi History Museum showcasing the rich history and culture of the ancient city. Take a leisurely stroll on the City Wall built in the 14th Century; enjoy a night tour of the Muslim Quarter to sample a taste of the enthic food in its amazing varieties and soak up the atmasphere of vibrant and colorful multicutures right in the centre of downtown Xian.

Day 8-9   Enjoy a rare opportunity to get up-close and personal with the giant panda

Immerse yourself in the most carefully crafted, tranquil and relaxing natural reserve and get up-close and personal with the giant panda, the nation’s treasure beloved world over. Chengdu is famous not only for being the panda capital of the world, but also for being a food paradise. Strolling through Kuanzhai (Wide-Narrow) Alley built in 1718 and tasting authentic Sichuan cuisine is a perfect way to experience the rich history and culture of China's most populous province - Sichuan province. 

Day 10 Fly from Chengdu to Shanghai
