Who We Are
Exercise Medicine Australia (EMA) is a leading Australian organization dedicated to providing continuing education and training in exercise intervention for primary prevention and rehabilitation. EMA leads the way in evidence-based, safe and targeted Tai Chi, Qigong and other therapeutic exercise programs for prevention, management and rehabilitation of chronic conditions, injury and fall, and improvement of physical and mental health, functional ability and the quality of life for all populations.
For over 20 years, Exercise Medicine Australia has conducted evidence-based Tai Chi, Qigong and other exercise therapy courses for continuing education and professional development for healthcare and exercise professionals and the general general population in Australia and internationally. The courses are approved, accredited or supported by national and international professional governing bodies including:
- American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)
- American state physical therapy associations
- American state occupational therapy associations
- Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA)
- Australian & New Zealand Falls Prevention Society (ANZFPS)
- Exercise Medicine International (EMI)
